Sisters On Style is a transformational reality show starring two sisters in the fashion industry. Fashion designer Michi Calica-Sotto has been doing customized wardrobes and bridal wear for many of her clients, while makeup artist Marie Calica was Marie Claire Philippines’ beauty editor. Together, the sisters parlay their expertise into a feel-good, 30-minute program that is sure to inspire its target audience of 18 to 45 year old females.

The Sisters On Style tagline ― “Your best Style uncovered” ― touches on the sisters’ personal philosophy about beauty and style: When a woman loves how she looks on the outside, she feels good on the inside. The positive effects of the external makeover make these women more confident, sending a ripple of good change in the rest of their lives too. This aligns with the sisterhood’s belief in the importance of living with passion, and inspiring other women to claim that birthright right now.

The Unique Selling Points of Sisters On Style are as follows:

• The Experts. Sisters Michi and Marie are already well-established in the fashion and beauty industry. Their previous experiences give them clout, and their advice is easy to apply to themselves yet provide dramatic results.
• The Treatment. SOS takes on a more international feel, eschewing the traditional magazine show format and going for a snappier, more sophisticated pace.
• The Pinoy Values. Aside from being hosted by two smart and stylish Filipinas, the show will be injected with local color, putting the Philippines in a very good light. For example, in the first episode, Michi describes the Filipina mom as the “ilaw ng tahanan”. To quote Michi, “When that light is out, everyone around us is going to be in the dark.” Likewise, when both sisters go to Greenbelt 5, the show provides information about the greening of Ayala Malls, which will edify viewers who only get to see the depressed areas of the country. Not only will these mini travelogues in the show bolster the image of the Philippines to Pinays everywhere ― it will boost the general morale as well.

In each episode, Michi and Marie star as covert makeover agents, who get cracking on a case that involves a woman in need of a style overhaul. Everything about the show ― from the music, their clothes and makeup, and the car (a red Mini, no less!) are all about style. Think Charlie’s Angels meets Project Runway. The sisters’ repartee is light, funny and very engaging as they go about rebuilding a woman’s confidence through great fashion advice and beauty wisdom.
